My mid-luteal phase progesterone is at 163ng/ml, 5 days past transfer. I’m happy with this number but does high progesterone have any bad side effects? I hope not. Prolactin level is still under control, thanks to the bromocriptine / parlodel.
My Dr. says we only need 40ng/ml to get pregnant, that means I have more than enough. Progesterone level peaks during the third trimester at 175ng/ml, the normal range is between 49-423ng/ml during pregnancy. All data taken from this site here.
I’m taking 2cc of intramuscular progesterone-in-oil injection everyday, I guess that helped. I definitely think that acupuncture has helped boost the level too.
During my first FET, my level was a tad low. It was about 89ng/ml and then it dropped to 49ng/ml. I had to use progesterone suppositories three times a day and it was yucky. Even then, it didn’t push the level any higher. This time I’m really happy that it is high. I’m off to a good start. It is also important to start using progesterone supplementation before pregnancy, it may be too late if started after a positive pregnancy test (from what I’ve read).
My IVF coordinator called this morning to remind me of my beta test date, it’s on Wednesday, exactly a week from today. One more week of suspense but it’s really worth the wait. Many couples don’t get a chance to do IVF at all and we are very, very fortunate that we are able to.
May God Bless! (((pray)))

Good luck! We are doing embryo transfer tomorrow morning – it’s our first try at IVF and we have all sorts of emotions right now. I wish you the best outcome!
One week down, and one to go! Good luck!
